Implementasi Digital Twin Dalam Monitoring Dan Evaluasi Infrastruktur Bangunan Modern

Abstract

Digital transformation in building management has accelerated the adoption of Digital Twin technology as a virtual representation of physical assets continuously updated by operational data. This article analyses the functions of Digital Twins in monitoring and evaluating modern building infrastructure and identifies enabling technologies, benefits, evaluation indicators, and implementation barriers. A structured literature review was conducted on 22 publications issued between 2020 and 2026 and included in the initial manuscript corpus. All bibliographic records were verified against DOI and publisher metadata, followed by thematic extraction and synthesis. Five major application clusters were identified: real-time condition monitoring, energy optimisation, predictive maintenance, structural health monitoring, and artificial-intelligence-assisted decision support. Successful implementation depends on physical–virtual synchronisation, data quality and interoperability, sensor and network reliability, model validation, cybersecurity, and organisational readiness. The available evidence supports the potential of Digital Twins to improve operational visibility and decision accuracy; however, energy and economic benefits are not reported consistently across studies. A five-layer implementation framework is proposed, comprising physical assets, data acquisition, data integration, modelling and analytics, and decision governance. Digital Twin deployment should proceed incrementally through measurable pilot projects before portfolio-scale expansion.
