<![CDATA[Maritime patrol operations are essential to maritime security, surveillance, law enforcement, and national resource protection, yet research on their effectiveness remains fragmented across disciplines. This study aims to examine the development and research trends of maritime patrol effectiveness through a Hybrid Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and Bibliometric Analysis. The review applies PRISMA and PICOC frameworks to systematically identify relevant literature from the Scopus database, while VOSviewer is employed to analyze keyword relationships and research trends up to August 15, 2026. The analysis identified 86 relevant journal articles, with publication activity showing increasing scholarly attention, particularly from 2022 onward. Bibliometric analysis identified 35 keywords grouped into seven thematic clusters, with cost effectiveness, ships, monitoring, maritime surveillance, decision making, radar technologies, and operational effectiveness emerging as prominent themes. The findings indicate that maritime patrol effectiveness research increasingly emphasizes the integration of operational performance, technological capabilities, resource efficiency, and decision-making processes.]]>
