This study investigates the use of Filicium decipiens (kerai payung) leaves as a natural motif source for ecoprint on cotton-rayon fabric using steaming and various mordants. The experimental study used alum, ferrous sulfate, and slaked lime combinations. Data were collected through organoleptic testing with 15 panelists and analyzed using frequency percentages and the Friedman k-related test with SPSS 26. The results showed that mordant combinations affected color variation and motif clarity. The highest motif clarity was obtained from the ferrous sulfate–slaked lime combination, with 86.66% of panelists rating it as “clear,” followed by the alum–ferrous sulfate combination at 73.34%. The wash fastness analysis using the Friedman test showed a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating significant differences in ecoprint results among the mordant treatments. Overall, mordant variations strongly influence the color, motif clarity, and wash fastness of Filicium decipiens leaf ecoprints on cotton-rayon fabric.
