Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa transformasi dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk dalam pembelajaran tata busana. Namun, implementasi media digital di ranah pendidikan masih menunjukkan kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan media digital dalam pembelajaran tata busana melalui studi literatur terhadap artikel yang diterbitkan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah studi literatur kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data dari jurnal-jurnal pendidikan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media digital seperti video animasi, e-modul, flipbook, dan handout digital berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi, pemahaman materi, keterampilan praktik, serta kemandirian belajar siswa. Kesimpulannya, media digital memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran tata busana, namun efektivitasnya sangat dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan infrastruktur, literasi digital pendidik, dan dukungan institusi pendidikan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran vokasional.

Abstract

The development of learning media in fashion education still faces limitations, particularly in the integration of digital technology to support the teaching and learning process. This condition highlights the urgency of examining research trends related to learning media in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of development directions that are relevant to current educational needs. This study aims to analyze the research trends of learning media in the field of fashion education through a bibliometric approach. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with a bibliometric analysis design. Data were obtained from 500 articles collected through the Google Scholar database for the period 2010–2024 using the Publish or Perish application. The articles were then screened and re-verified with the assistance of Excel and Mendeley, resulting in 328 eligible articles for analysis. Data were analyzed using VOSviewer to map research trends based on keywords, publications, and inter-topic connections. The findings indicate a significant increase in the number of publications, with the peak occurring in 2023. VOSviewer analysis identified eight clusters with 104 keyword links, in which the dominant keywords include “learning media,” “video tutorial,” “e-module,” and “learning outcomes.” This study concludes that bibliometric exploration provides valuable contributions to the development of more innovative, interactive, and effective learning media, while serving as a strategic reference for enriching practices in fashion education in the future.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of science and technology has driven innovation in education, particularly in the development of digital learning modules. This study aimed to evaluate a digital learning module based on three key aspects: usability, content quality, and effectiveness. A descriptive quantitative approach supported by qualitative analysis was employed, involving 59 undergraduate students in the Family Welfare Education program at Universitas Negeri Padang who had used the module for at least three learning topics. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and complemented by student interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative responses were examined through thematic analysis. The finfings revealed that the overall evaluation of the module was categorized as “very good” and average score of 4.78 across all aspects. Specifically, usability scored 4.70, content quality 4.82, and affectiveness 4.80. interactive feature such as Quizizz and Kahoot received the highest ratings, while multimedia integration (Youtube videos, images, and audio) effectively enchanced comprehansion. Despite ist overall sucsess, certain features, such as bookmarks, were underutilized. In conclution, the digital learning module was found to be user-friendly, of high quality, and effective in suporting both independent and collaborative learning, making it promising instructional medium for higher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki peluang dan tantangan yang terkait dengan Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) berdasarkan artikel penelitian yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2021 hingga 2024. MOOCs diakui memiliki potensi untuk menyediakan pendidikan yang fleksibel dan dapat diakses, khususnya di negara berkembang, memungkinkan pembelajar mengakses sumber daya pendidikan berkualitas dari jarak jauh. Namun, meskipun menawarkan banyak manfaat, MOOCs juga menghadirkan sejumlah tantangan, termasuk kesulitan dalam mengelola materi pembelajaran yang beragam, menghubungkan teori dengan praktik, serta mengatasi keterampilan menulis akademik dan manajemen waktu. Peserta juga menghadapi masalah seperti keterbatasan interaksi langsung dengan pengajar dan sesama peserta, yang dapat mengurangi motivasi dan keterlibatan. Penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa untuk memaksimalkan potensi MOOCs, peserta perlu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, analitis, dan manajemen diri untuk mengatasi tantangan-tantangan tersebut. Dengan mengatasi masalah-masalah ini, peserta dapat meningkatkan pengembangan akademik dan profesional mereka serta memperoleh manfaat maksimal dari peluang yang ditawarkan oleh MOOCs.

Abstract

The use of YouTube-based learning has become increasingly relevant in vocational education, particularly in technical and procedural courses such as CAD Patternmaking. This study aims to analyze the contribution of YouTube-based learning to student engagement, cognitive load, and learning achievement in a CAD Patternmaking course. A quantitative approach with an ex post facto design was employed. The sample consisted of 107 Fashion Design students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS. The results show that YouTube-based learning contributes positively and significantly to student engagement and negatively and significantly to cognitive load. In addition, YouTube-based learning and student engagement simultaneously contribute significantly to learning achievement, while cognitive load does not have a significant partial contribution. These findings indicate that learning achievement in YouTube-based CAD Patternmaking learning is more strongly influenced by student engagement than by perceived cognitive load. In conclusion, YouTube-based learning can effectively support vocational learning outcomes when designed to enhance student engagement. This study provides practical implications for developing structured video-based learning strategies in vocational education.

Abstract

Guru-guru SMK Kecantikan di Sumatera Barat menghadapi tantangan dalam mengajarkan mata pelajaran Perawatan Tangan dan Kaki serta Merias Kuku (Nail Art) yang diperkenalkan dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Kesulitan ini muncul karena para guru belum memiliki keterampilan dalam nail art dan belum mendapatkan pelatihan khusus terkait teknik merias kuku. Padahal, mata pelajaran ini telah dimasukkan dalam Kurikulum Merdeka dan harus dipelajari oleh seluruh siswa SMK Tata Kecantikan, termasuk yang ada di Sumatera Barat. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMK Kecantikan dalam mengajarkan mata pelajaran perawatan tangan, kaki dan merias kuku, serta meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru dalam memanfaatkan media sosial untuk promosi jasa-jasa kecantikan yang ada di salon SMK Kecantikan. Metode pelaksanaan PkM ini menggunakan sosialisasi, demonstrasi dan praktek, yang dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil PkM ini menunjukan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan perawatan tangan, kaki dan merias kuku serta pelatihan digital marketing untuk pembuatan konten promosi salon SMK kecantikan memberikan manfaat dan sangat berguna bagi guru.

Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of video tutorials in enhancing students’ cognitive understanding and psychomotor skills in Flat Pattern Design learning. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design was employed involving 30 fashion design students selected through purposive sampling. The instructional intervention utilized video tutorials that demonstrated each stage of the flat pattern design process, enabling students to review learning materials repeatedly and practice independently. Data were collected through cognitive achievement tests and psychomotor performance assessments and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed statistically significant improvements in students’ learning outcomes following the intervention (p < 0.05). Cognitive achievement scores increased from pretest to posttest, accompanied by substantial gains in psychomotor performance. Classroom observations also indicated high levels of participation and engagement throughout the learning activities. These results suggest that video tutorials provide effective support for procedural learning by facilitating visual demonstration, self-paced practice, and skill mastery. The study contributes to the growing body of research on digital learning in vocational education by demonstrating the potential of video-based instruction to strengthen both conceptual understanding and practical competencies in fashion design courses
