<![CDATA[In Indonesia, food and plastic waste make up the largest proportion of total waste production, and this amount will continue to increase in line with growing human consumption if not properly managed. In Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, household and plastic waste remain dominant, yet waste management is still suboptimal due to limited facilities, inadequate infrastructure, and low public awareness of proper waste handling. Poor waste management threatens the environment and public health by contributing to pollution and disease. Responding to these challenges, this study proposes an interior design plan for a recycle center that integrates educational functions to raise community awareness and promote sustainable waste management practices. The design applies green building principles to reduce environmental impact through efficient use of natural resources, eco-friendly materials, and spatial strategies that support behavioral change. This recycle center is expected to serve as an edutourism facility that combines recycling education with interactive experiences, fostering new habits and a better understanding of waste management within the community.]]>
