<![CDATA[The commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia is an important moment for all citizens to remember the services of the heroes and foster a spirit of unity. Community participation is an important aspect of social development because it reflects the active involvement of citizens in every village activity. Through participation, the community is not just spectators, but also actors who play a role in planning, implementing, and ensuring success. On the other hand, the spirit of nationalism needs to be continuously fostered in the current era of globalization. The spirit of nationalism is able to maintain unity, reduce divisions, and foster love for the homeland, which is manifested in the form of togetherness and pride as Indonesians. Activities to build togetherness and nationalistic spirit in Lobuo Village were carried out through lively independence day competitions organized by the 31st batch of KKN students from Madako Tolitoli University as part of their community service.
