<![CDATA[Coconut husk waste is an abundant byproduct of coconut plantations that remains underutilized by the community, often simply discarded or burned. Yet, coconut husks hold significant potential for processing into cocopeat—an eco-friendly organic growing medium capable of absorbing and retaining water, suitable for various cultivation activities. Transforming coconut husks into cocopeat not only adds value to the waste but also creates opportunities for developing local resource-based businesses. This community service initiative aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmer groups in converting coconut husk waste into useful and economically valuable cocopeat. The implementation methods included outreach, presentations, demonstrations, hands-on training, discussions, and guidance throughout the processing stages. Participants were directly involved in every step, from understanding coconut husk characteristics and fiber separation to material processing, shredding, sieving, and packaging the final product. The results demonstrated an improvement in participants' understanding and skills regarding the processing of coconut husk waste into cocopeat growing media. Participants grasped the benefits of cocopeat, followed the processing stages, and gained practical experience in its production. The activity also raised awareness about the importance of utilizing agricultural waste as a value-added resource. Cocopeat production offers potential as both an alternative growing medium and a group business opportunity.]]>
