<![CDATA[The capture fisheries sector plays an important role in the economy of coastal communities, but the welfare of fishermen remains vulnerable due to income fluctuations and limited household financial management. This study aims to analyze the relationship between income and savings ratio with the welfare level of fishermen in the coastal area of Gorontalo Bay. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 111 fishermen selected using the Slovin formula with a 10 percent error rate. Data were collected through structured interviews using questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively and through Spearman's correlation test. The results show that most fishermen have an income ≥ Gorontalo City minimum wage, but the majority do not have savings. The general welfare level of fishermen is in the high category based on indicators from the Central Statistics Agency. The correlation test showed that income had a positive and significant relationship with welfare (correlation coefficient of 0.486; significance of 0.000), while the savings ratio showed a positive but insignificant relationship (correlation coefficient of 0.149; significance of 0.120), indicating that savings did not yet reflect the welfare of fishermen's households in real terms. These findings confirm that the welfare of fishermen is more closely related to income than to savings.]]>
