Abstract

Work motivation is a crucial factor in enhancing employee productivity across various organizational contexts. Optimal employee productivity serves as a key indicator of organizational success in achieving goals effectively and efficiently. This article aims to systematically examine the influence of work motivation on employee productivity through a literature review approach. The study analyzes ten relevant scientific articles published within the last ten years, selected based on topic relevance, keyword alignment, accessibility of journals, and the significance of research findings related to the focus of the study. The results of the literature review indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity. Both intrinsic and extrinsic forms of motivation play important roles in improving the quality and quantity of employees’ work output. Furthermore, work motivation strengthens the effectiveness of other organizational factors such as work environment, training, and organizational culture in supporting productivity. Employees with high levels of work motivation tend to demonstrate greater work engagement, responsibility, and consistency in performance. The findings of this review confirm that work motivation is a strategic element in human resource management practices aimed at improving employee productivity in a sustainable manner. This article is expected to provide valuable insights for researchers and practitioners in developing evidence-based strategies for managing employee motivation and productivity.
