<![CDATA[This study was motivated by students’ low mathematics learning outcomes and the need for a learning model that can improve students’ activeness and understanding. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII students at SMPN 11 Mataram on the topic of linear equations and linear inequalities in one variable in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a posttest-only non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of all grade VIII students at SMPN 11 Mataram, while the sample was selected using cluster random sampling, namely class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The research instruments included lesson plans, observation sheets, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The t-test showed a significant difference with , and the effect size value was , which is categorized as large. Therefore, the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model has a positive and significant effect on students’ mathematics learning outcomes.]]>
