<![CDATA[This study examines the comparison of legal considerations in judicial decisions regarding assault cases in Case No. 250/Pid.B/2024/PN Blt and Case No. 217/Pid.B/2024/PN Blt. The objectives of this research are: 1) to analyze the comparative legal considerations of judges in the two cases, and 2) to examine the implications of the differences in judicial considerations on legal certainty in assault cases. This study employs a normative legal research method. The results show that: 1) The comparative analysis of judicial decisions reveals differences in approach, with a retributive approach without mediation resulting in heavier sanctions, while a restorative justice approach through mediation leads to lighter sanctions. 2) The implications of the decisions highlight inconsistencies in the application of law, variations in the proportionality of punishments, lack of uniformity in problem-solving approaches, transparency in documentation, and uncertainty in protecting victims' rights, which can undermine public trust in the criminal justice system.]]>
