This study addresses the low interest among vocational high school students in pursuing higher education due to limited career information and inadequate educational planning. The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group guidance using Career Card media in increasing students’ interest in pursuing higher education at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo. A quantitative approach was employed using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Ten students were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an educational interest scale and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The findings indicate that Career Card media helped students better understand higher education opportunities, explore career options, and develop confidence in discussing their educational and career goals. The interactive media also encouraged active participation during the guidance process and helped students reflect on their future educational choices. Overall, the findings demonstrate that group guidance using Career Card media can increase students’ interest and aspirations toward higher education. Therefore, Career Card media offers an innovative strategy for supporting career planning and educational decision-making among vocational high school students.
