<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the forms of social interaction represented in Aduh, a drama by Putu Wijaya, through the perspective of practical sociolinguistics. The drama portrays the dynamics of relationships among characters constructed through language use in complex social situations characterized by tension, uncertainty, and conflicts of interest. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method using content analysis to examine the dialogues in the drama script. The data consist of the characters’ utterances that reveal patterns of social interaction, language choices, communication strategies, and social relationships developed throughout the dramatic events. The findings indicate that social interaction in Aduh is manifested through cooperation, competition, conflict, accommodation, and negotiation of meaning among characters. Variations in language use reflect differences in social status, interests, and attitudes of the characters. Furthermore, the use of questions, commands, accusations, rebuttals, and emotional expressions plays an important role in shaping social relationships. This study demonstrates that language functions not only as a means of communication but also as a tool for constructing, maintaining, and transforming social relations. The research is expected to enrich sociolinguistic studies of Indonesian drama, particularly concerning the representation of social interaction in dramatic texts.]]>
