<![CDATA[Health-related behavioral issues among preschool-aged children are generally closely linked to personal hygiene. Epidemiologically, the spread of diseases resulting from a lack of healthy behaviors among preschool children in Indonesia remains quite high, such as dengue fever, diarrhea, intestinal parasites, Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI), hand-foot-mouth disease, measles, chickenpox, mumps, eye infections, and ear infections. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between parenting styles and personal hygiene independence among preschool children at TK Seven Smart Pendopo Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir in 2025. The research method used was a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique employed total sampling, with a sample size of 31 preschool children from Classes A and B at TK Seven Smart Pendopo Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir in 2025. The results of the univariate analysis showed that a small proportion of respondents (22.6%) had an authoritarian parenting style, while the majority of respondents (61.3%) exhibited low personal hygiene independence. The bivariate analysis revealed a significant association between parenting style and personal hygiene independence in preschool children (p = 0.001). There is a relationship between the level of parenting style and personal hygiene independence among preschool children at TK Seven Smart Pendopo Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir in 2025. The researcher recommends that the study site, the school, utilize these findings to develop guidance and counseling programs for parents regarding parenting styles that can support students’ independence in maintaining personal hygiene.]]>
