FoMO, anxiety, and social acceptance represent important psychosocial aspects of adolescent development in the context of intensive digital media use. This study examined the association of FoMO with anxiety levels and social acceptance among adolescents. An analytical quantitative cross-sectional design was applied to 356 students from SMA Negeri 62, SMA Negeri 51, and SMA Negeri 58 East Jakarta selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Fear of Missing Out Scale-12, Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale, and Adolescent Multidimensional Social Competence Questionnaire. Associations were tested with Pearson’s Chi-square. Most participants reported moderate-to-high FoMO (93.3%), while 51.4% were classified as having severe anxiety to panic levels. FoMO was significantly associated with anxiety (χ² = 12.432; p < 0.001), whereas its association with social acceptance was not statistically significant (χ² = 1.756; p = 0.185). These findings indicate that FoMO is associated with anxiety levels but does not show a significant association with social acceptance in the studied adolescents.
