Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has created new opportunities for Islamic da’wah through various digital platforms, enabling the rapid and widespread dissemination of religious messages. However, this development also presents critical challenges such as hoaxes, misinformation, and unverified religious content. This study aims to examine the role of literacy through digital writing in supporting Islamic da’wah during the disruption era and its contribution to the effectiveness of da’wah communication. Employing a qualitative approach via library research, data were collected from books, scientific articles, and relevant previous studies, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings reveal that digital literacy, when supported by robust digital writing skills, plays a fundamental role in producing informative, credible, and accountable da’wah content. Furthermore, digital writing serves as a strategic medium for delivering adaptive and participatory religious messages that effectively meet the needs of the digital society. Therefore, strengthening literacy and digital writing skills is essential to sustain high-quality and moderate Islamic da’wah in the era of disruption.
