<![CDATA[The implementation of Arabic language learning is closely related to the methods used by an educator (lecturer) in the learning process. Therefore, appropriate strategies and methods are needed so that the learning process can be achieved according to the expected goals. The method used in the implementation of Arabic language learning at STAI YAPNAS Jeneponto, especially in the Arabic language education study program, is the qiro'ah method. "The qiro'ah method is mastering a foreign language by starting with mastering the smallest language elements, namely vocabulary, which is preceded by correct pronunciation exercises, then understanding". The main focus of this qiro'ah method is reading skills. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research with the purpose of this descriptive data to create a factual and accurate picture of the phenomena investigated in the study. In this case, the author will trace the phenomena that are the focus of the study, namely understanding the application of the qiro'ah method to improving reading skills for students of the Arabic language education study program. The instruments used, namely observation, interviews and documentation, and data analysis techniques in this study were carried out through the stages of data presentation, data reduction stages and conclusion stages. The results of the study indicate that the application of the qiro'ah method in the learning process applied by lecturers has been implemented and successful, both in terms of methods and practices starting from the planning stage, implementation to the evaluation used to make it easier for students not only to read Arabic texts but also to understand and comprehend the material taught even though there are differences in the application process in class and there is an increase in the ability to read Arabic texts in students as seen from the scores obtained when the test was conducted by the lecturer.]]>
