<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the influence of Arabic literacy on the understanding of hadith among the Chinese Muslim community in Makassar. Using a quantitative correlational approach, this study involved 212 respondents selected through a simple random sampling technique from the population of members of the Indonesian Chinese Islamic Association (PITI) Makassar. The research instruments were a validated Arabic literacy test and a hadith comprehension test. The results of a simple linear regression analysis indicate a positive and significant influence of Arabic literacy on hadith comprehension with a strong coefficient of determination (R2). This finding confirms that mastery of Arabic linguistic aspects is a determinant factor for the Chinese Muslim community in minimizing misinterpretation of religious texts and deepening contextual understanding of hadith.]]>
