<![CDATA[This study aimed to improve students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in IPAS learning in Grade V at SDIT BPMAA Pekanbaru. The study employed Classroom Action Research consisting of two cycles, with each cycle including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 22 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observations and critical thinking tests. The results showed a gradual improvement in students’ critical thinking skills. The average score increased from 65.5 in the pre-cycle to 77.2 in Cycle I and 86.2 in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving mastery also increased from 13.64% in the pre-cycle to 40.91% in Cycle I and 72.73% in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the implementation of the CTL model can improve students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning. The contextual learning activities provided students with opportunities to relate learning materials to real-life situations, actively participate in learning, analyze information, and draw conclusions.]]>
