Sikapak Barat Village, located in the North Pariaman District of Pariaman City, generates a significant amount of household plastic waste—averaging 50 kg per day. Much of this waste remains unprocessed and relies on waste collection systems, creating a risk of accumulation and environmental pollution in residential and coastal areas. This situation highlights the need for simple, appropriate technology that can be directly implemented by the village community. A plastic waste shredder is a mechanical device designed to cut and break down plastic into specific sizes; the "crusher" type is one of the most commonly used varieties. A crusher-type plastic waste shredder with a capacity of 12 kg/hour has been successfully designed and built according to specifications. The machine operates exactly as planned, and testing confirms that it functions as intended, achieving a shredding capacity of 12 kg/hour.
