Abstract

General Background: Teacher professionalism is essential for quality learning and educational outcomes, requiring systematic supervision and continuous professional development. Specific Background: Clinical supervision supports teacher development through structured observation, feedback, collegial relationships, and follow-up. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have largely examined clinical supervision in partial and context-specific settings without an integrated synthesis of teacher professionalism indicators and sustainable implementation. Aims: This study examines the role and contribution of clinical supervision in teacher professionalism through a Systematic Literature Review. Results: Analysis of 45 journals identified systematic supervision stages, harmonious supervisor–teacher relationships, individualized approaches, and continuous follow-up as key elements supporting professionalism. Novelty: The study integrates these elements into a systematic synthesis using the PRISMA protocol. Implications: The findings provide a reference for continuous supervision practices and educational policy formulation. Key Findings Highlights Systematic supervision stages support professional development. Collegial relationships foster teacher confidence and reflection.
