Waste management is a major challenge in achieving a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of waste management policy in Alai Urban Village, Sintang Regency, focusing on identifying the various obstacles encountered during its execution. The study employs a descriptive-qualitative approach involving literature reviews, field observations, and interviews with local government officials, sanitation workers, and community members. The results indicate that the implementation of the waste management policy has not been optimal. Key obstacles include low public awareness regarding waste sorting and disposal, limited facilities and infrastructure, a lack of supervision, and constrained operational budgets. The study recommends enhancing public education, providing adequate waste management facilities, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and increasing community participation to improve the policy's effectiveness
