Finding out how well a discussion-based learning approach works for sixth grade Civic Education (PKN) at UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan is the main purpose of this research. A total of 28 students were included in the study, which utilized a quantitative approach and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The data was collected using two reliable and accurate instruments: a learning outcome test and a learning motivation questionnaire. Two tests were used to assess the data: one to check for normality and the other to use the Paired Sample t-test. There was a considerable improvement in both motivation and learning outcomes after using the discussion strategy. Learning outcomes and motivation datasets were found to follow a normal distribution according to the normalcy test, since their significant values were more than 0.05. Moreover, the discussion-based learning technique positively and significantly impacts students' motivation and learning outcomes, as shown by the Paired-Sample t-test findings, which had a significance value of 0.000 for both variables (< 0.05).
