<![CDATA[This research aims to investigate the effects of puzzle-based learning media on the early reading abilities and desire to learn Indonesian as a topic of second graders from UPTD SDN Sepulu 1. This research was motivated by the need to address students' low early reading competency and willingness to learn via the use of more engaging and interactive media-based instructional methodologies. Researchers used a quantitative strategy based on a one-group pretest-posttest design to determine the extent to which the intervention improved students' skills. All of the research instruments, including reading comprehension tests and questionnaires about students' willingness to learn, had their validity and reliability checked before use. We used a paired-sample t-test and a normality test to look at the numbers. The results of the investigation showed that the paired-sample t-test for early reading ability had a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that the media heavily used puzzles to noticeably improve children's reading abilities. Using puzzle-based learning media had a positive effect on students' willingness to learn Indonesian language, as shown by a significant value of 0.044 (<0.05) obtained from the test on learning motivation. Therefore, using puzzle-based learning tools may improve primary school students' early reading skills and their motivation to study.]]>
