<![CDATA[Adolescence is a developmental phase that is vulnerable to various forms of deviant behavior or juvenile delinquency, especially when supervision and attention within the family are less than optimal. Single-parent families often face unique challenges in the parenting process, both in terms of economics, time, and psychology. Therefore, the role of single parents is very important in shaping the behavior and character of adolescents to avoid negative actions. This study aims to describe the role of single parents in preventing juvenile delinquency in Manuruki Village, Tamalate District, Makassar City. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques of interviews, observation, and documentation. Six informants who are single parents with adolescent children were selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that the role of single parents is carried out through instilling moral values, providing advice, motivation, and regular communication. Supervision is provided through checking cellphones, limiting activities, and monitoring adolescents' social interactions. Barriers faced include limited time, economic pressure, and environmental influences. This study confirms that effective communication and emotional closeness are important factors in preventing juvenile delinquency.]]>
