This study aims to determine the motives for use, communication experiences, and meanings of using the Instagram Map location-sharing feature among students at Singaperbangsa University, Karawang. The study employed a qualitative method with Alfred Schutz's social phenomenology approach. Nine students were purposively selected as informants, while data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that Instagram Map use is driven by motives such as interest in new features, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), social influences, and previous experiences, as well as the goal of facilitating location sharing, communication, coordination, and shared activities. Users' communication experiences demonstrate the formation of social interaction and closeness, while also raising concerns about privacy and trust. The meaning of Instagram Map use for students is understood as a marker of self-presence, a reinforcement of social interaction and relationships, and a form of trust in location sharing. Keywords: Communication Experiences, Instagram Map, Meaning, Motives, Social Phenomenology.
