<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the form of personal narrative, analyze the representation of self-expression of the younger generation, and reveal the meaning of self-expression in the book Broken String by Aurelie Moeremans. The research is motivated by the development of popular literature as a medium that represents the social and psychological experiences of the younger generation through personal narratives. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literary psychology approach. The data source is the book Broken String by Aurelie Moeremans, while the research data are in the form of quotations containing personal narratives and self-expression. Data collection techniques are carried out through reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis includes identification, classification, description, and interpretation of data. The results of the study indicate the existence of five forms of personal narratives, namely life experiences, self-reflection, traumatic experiences, inner conflict, and expression of feelings with a total of 25 data. The representation of self-expression of the younger generation includes emotions of anger, sadness, happiness, and fear with a total of 20 data. The meaning of self-expression found includes the search for self-identity, disclosure of psychological trauma, the need for social acceptance, resistance to psychological pressure, and the process of self-healing.]]>
