This study aims to analyze communication management in the implementation of the Genus Literacy Society (GELAS) Program to foster a reading culture among students at SMK Gema Nusantara 5 Cikalongwetan. The study is motivated by the low reading culture among students and the limited research examining school literacy programs from an organizational communication perspective. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Informants were selected through purposive sampling, including the principal, the GELAS Program coordinator, and teachers involved in the program. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the interactive data analysis model based on Karl Weickâs Organizational Information Theory. The findings indicate that communication management was carried out systematically through planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation. Vertical and horizontal communication, supported by coordination meetings, WhatsApp groups, school social media, and face-to-face interactions, reduced information equivocality, strengthened coordination, and fostered shared commitment. These findings demonstrate that effective organizational communication management plays a crucial role in supporting the success of the GELAS Program and promoting a sustainable reading culture within the school.
