Total Fertility Rate or total birth rate is an important indicator in population growth dynamics. In the Sarbagita Region (Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan) there was a significant decrease in the Total Fertility Rate and was below the national figure of Indonesia. This condition will cause a population decline in the long term and the population structure leads to an aging population structure. This study aims to analyze the influence of family income, number of dependents, male education level, female education level, first marriage age, government regulations, and the childfree phenomenon on the number of children born in the Sarbagita area both simultaneously and partially. The research method used in this study is quantitative with an associative approach. The population in this study is all couples of childbearing age in the Sarbagita area. The sample used in this study was 100 couples of childbearing age. Data is collected through questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that simultaneously, all independent variables had an influence on the number of children born. Partially, only family income has a positive and significant influence on the number of children. Meanwhile, the number of dependents, the level of education of women, and the age of first marriage have a negative and significant influence. The variables of male education level, government regulations, and the childfree phenomenon did not have a significant influence. These findings make an important contribution to population policy formulation and sustainable development planning in urban areas, especially in balancing the birth rate and the needs of the community's socio-economic development in the future.
