Given the dominance of Generation Z in Indonesia's workforce and high resignation rates driven by work-life imbalance and job stress, job satisfaction has become a critical issue requiring attention—particularly in Denpasar, a hub for business and the creative industry characterized by high work demands. This study aims to analyze the impact of work-life balance and job stress on the job satisfaction of Generation Z employees in Denpasar. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey of 104 respondents selected via purposive sampling—specifically Generation Z employees aged 20–28 working across various sectors in Denpasar. Primary data were collected using a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression, preceded by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.219, a t-statistic of 4.347, and a significance level of 0.000. Conversely, job stress has a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of -0.505, a t-statistic of -11.424, and a significance level of 0.000. Furthermore, work-life balance and job stress simultaneously exert a significant influence on job satisfaction, evidenced by an F-statistic of 65.988 and a significance level of 0.000. These findings suggest that improving work-life balance and effectively managing job stress can enhance job satisfaction among Generation Z employees; therefore, companies need to foster work environments that support employee well-being and mental health.
