This research was motivated by the absence of a technology-based inventory system in the IT Unit of Politeknik Bhakti Semesta Salatiga, which has resulted in manual asset management, low efficiency, and difficulties in monitoring asset security. The study aims to design and develop an inventory information system that can automate administrative processes, improve data validity, and support educational activities through faster and more integrated asset management. The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) method by developing a web-based system using CodeIgniter 4 and Qrcode technology. The system includes modules for room management, lecturer and staff (DTK) data, item master data, facility input via Qrcode scanning, item relocation requests and approvals, as well as DataTables-based reporting with PDF export using Dompdf. Validation was carried out by internal validators from Universitas STEKOM and external validators consisting of admin users, directors, and DTK personnel. The results show that the web-based inventory system effectively simplifies administrative tasks, improves data accuracy, and accelerates digital asset monitoring. Internal validation scored 2.70 and external validation scored 2.80, both categorized as sufficiently valid. Overall, the system is deemed feasible for implementation and has strong potential for further development, particularly in online integration, data security enhancements, and inventory analytics features.
