<![CDATA[This research aims to determine the comparison of student’s biological problem-solving skill that learned problem-based learning model with direct instructions model on biology subjects the concept of growth and development of plant. This research used a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. This research samples is student of SMAN 12 Luwu class XII IPA selected by random sampling. Data analyzed by ancova test. Data analysis result show value p ≤ α 0,05 (p=0,010) indicating that there are difference of biological problem-solving skill which learned with PBL model and direct instruction model. Result of student’s biological problem-solving skill which learned with PBL model higher compared with learned use direct instruction model. The use of problem-based learning model on the learning activity needed to suitability with the study until learning more effective.]]>
