<![CDATA[Cooperatives are membership-based economic institutions that have an important role in improving the welfare of members and supporting the economic development of the community. However, there are still many cooperatives that face performance problems due to weak organizational governance, especially in the aspect of organizational structure. This study aims to analyze the role of organizational structure design in encouraging the effectiveness and efficiency of cooperative performance. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design on the Baitul Maal Ibaadurrahman Cooperative (BMT Ibaadurrahman) Sukabumi City. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña models which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that a clearly and systematically designed organizational structure is able to increase the effectiveness of achieving cooperative goals and efficiency in resource utilization. Clarity of task division, structured coordination mechanisms, and work specialization help minimize overlap of work and speed up the decision-making process. In addition, the alignment between formal organizational structures and managerial practices in the field also strengthens the internal supervisory function and increases the accountability of cooperative management. Thus, the design of the right organizational structure is an important factor in improving performance and maintaining the sustainability of cooperatives in the midst of the dynamics of the business environment.]]>
