Abstract

This article aims to examine the relevance of justice values in the Qur'an to modern legal systems through the Ma'na Cum Maghza Approach. This approach offers a novel way of interpreting religious texts by considering historical and social contexts as well as contemporary situations. The research employs qualitative methods with text analysis to elucidate the values of justice in the Qur'an, and literature review to identify gaps in previous research. The findings indicate that the values of justice in the Qur'an have significant relevance and can be applied in modern legal systems, although there are challenges in the integration process, such as resistance from conservative groups and differences in historical contexts. The study concludes that a contextual and historical approach can provide a more relevant and applicable understanding of religious texts to create a more just and harmonious legal order, capable of addressing contemporary legal challenges. This research also demonstrates the significant potential of the Ma'na Cum Maghza Approach in addressing various modern legal issues, including family, economic, and human rights aspects.
