This study aims to increase the interest and motivation of junior high school students in Lubuklinggau City in the basic techniques of long jump. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach using the Research and Development method. The main subjects of this study on traditional games in long jump lessons are students in Lubuklinggau City, with the following details: 1) 15 students in the small group trial; 2) 45 students in the large group trial; 3) students who will be involved in the effectiveness trial (45 control group, 45 experimental group). Data in this research was obtained through experience, work, questioning, and observation. Data can be primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through questionnaires, observation, and interviews. Secondary data was obtained through analysis of various types of documents. Data sources based on data collection techniques included respondents, certain conditions or events, the research environment or location, photographs, and relevant documents. The results of the study showed that the traditional game model in the long jump subject supported the learning process and student interest and increased the motivation of junior high school students in Lubuklinggau City.
