Regional languages play a crucial role in maintaining cultural identity and supporting contextual learning in schools. However, the use of regional languages in the learning process still faces various obstacles, particularly the limited understanding and skills of prospective teachers in integrating them pedagogically. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of prospective Indonesian language teachers in integrating regional languages into the learning process. The activity method is carried out through mentoring, training, discussions, and practice in developing regional language-based learning materials. Participants in the activity consisted of prospective Indonesian language teacher students who were equipped with an understanding of the importance of preserving regional languages and strategies for implementing them in learning. The results of the activity showed that participants experienced an increase in understanding and skills in designing lessons that utilize regional languages as contextual learning resources. In addition, participants showed a positive response to the application of regional languages as a medium to increase student engagement and strengthen cultural literacy. This activity contributes to strengthening the pedagogical competence of prospective teachers while supporting efforts to preserve regional languages through education.
