Accurate pronunciation is an essential aspect of learning Mandarin Chinese because it affects both meaning and communication. This study aims to describe pronunciation errors in reading the pinyin text 《做家务》 among members of the online Mandarin learning community "Otak Mandarin Gitta." This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using error analysis. The data consisted of 19 voice recordings of participants reading a pinyin text, which were analyzed based on three phonological aspects of Hanyu Pinyin: initials (声母), finals (韵母), and tones (声调). Data were collected through observation and documentation, while the analysis followed four stages of error analysis: identification, classification, explanation, and evaluation. The findings revealed pronunciation errors in all three phonological aspects, namely initials, finals, and tones. These errors indicate that some participants still experience difficulties in mastering the phonological system of Mandarin Chinese, particularly in pronouncing aspirated consonants, certain vowel combinations, and lexical tones. It can be concluded that learners need more intensive pronunciation practice focusing on initials, finals, and tones to improve their pronunciation accuracy in accordance with Hanyu Pinyin rules.
