This study aims to improve the ability to read the Qur'an of students in Islamic Junior High Schools through the use of YouTube-based audio-visual learning media. The study used a qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which was implemented in two cycles, including planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that the use of YouTube-based audio-visual media can increase students' activeness, self-confidence, and correct pronunciation and tajwid of the Qur'an reading. YouTube media helps students understand the reading more clearly and interestingly because it can be seen and heard directly and repeated as needed. Thus, YouTube-based audio-visual media is effective for use in learning the Qur'an and Hadith in Islamic Junior High Schools.
