This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of jurisprudential decisions in resolving Islamic economic disputesat the Religious Court of Makassar. In the context of the Indonesian legal system, jurisprudence plays a crucialrole as a secondary legal source that helps fill legal gaps and ensures legal certainty, particularly in Islamiceconomic cases that are not explicitly regulated by statutory law. This research employs a qualitative method witha socio-legal approach, using observations and interviews with judges and legal practitioners at the MakassarReligious Court. The findings reveal that jurisprudential decisions significantly contribute to accelerating dispute resolution, increasing parties’ trust in judicial decisions, and fostering consistency and fairness in the enforcement of Islamiceconomic law. However, the effectiveness of jurisprudence also depends on the extent to which judges understandmaqashid sharia principles and can contextualize legal precedents to the current social setting. Therefore, enhancing judges’ capacity and developing a more integrated legal documentation system are vital factors instrengthening the future role of jurisprudence
