This study aims to examine the development of Islamic education during the Khulafaur Rasyidin period and its relevance to Islamic education in the era of globalization. The research employed a qualitative approach through library research by analyzing various sources related to the history of Islamic education. The findings reveal that Islamic education experienced distinct developments under each caliph. Abu Bakar maintained the educational system established by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Umar ibn Khattab strengthened educational institutions and administration, Uthman ibn Affan contributed through the codification of the Qur’an, while Ali ibn Abi Talib played a significant role in the development of Arabic grammar (nahwu). The educational values practiced during this period, including justice, morality, and a holistic approach to learning, remain highly relevant in addressing contemporary educational challenges in the globalization era.
