<![CDATA[Authentic assessment is a crucial pillar in the modern curriculum that emphasizes measuring students' real abilities holistically. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing authentic assessment in the learning process and its impact on students' character building. The research method employed is a literature review (library research) by analyzing various scientific literatures published from 2020 to 2026. The results indicate that authentic assessment is highly effective in increasing students' active engagement, providing a real depiction of their abilities (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor), and fostering positive character traits such as honesty, responsibility, and independence. The main constraints in its implementation lie in teacher readiness and time limitations. This study recommends the necessity of intensive training for educators in developing practical and efficient authentic assessment instruments.]]>
