This study aims to enhance the ability of 8th-grade students at SMP Bustanut Tholibin to explore exemplary values from Islamic history through the use of a "Matching Puzzle" game based on the Discovery Learning approach. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, conducted over two cycles comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were gathered through learning outcome tests and observations of student activity. The results indicate that the application of the Discovery Learning-based "Matching Puzzle" game successfully improved students' ability to explore exemplary values in Islamic history. Average learning outcomes rose from 57.00% to 77.57% in Cycle I and reached 93.92% in Cycle II. Class-wide mastery of learning increased from 0% to 85.71% in Cycle I and reached 100% in Cycle II. Student learning activity also increased from 46.91% to 85.71%. Thus, the Discovery Learning-based "Matching Puzzle" game is effective in enhancing both the exploration of exemplary values in Islamic history and student engagement during the learning process.
