The The suboptimal use of Android applications in the Microcontroller subject at SMK Bhakti Praja Dukuhwaru serves as the background of this activity. Students have not yet been guided to develop Android applications as control media for devices, particularly mobile robots, in an effective manner. Therefore, this community service activity aims to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in creating Android applications to control mobile robots using App Inventor. In addition, the activity introduces the basic concepts of Arduino programming with the ESP8266 microcontroller, which can connect to Android applications via Bluetooth communication. The training was conducted over two days, on May 28–29, 2025, and was attended by 37 participants from the Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) and Electronics Engineering departments. The workshop involved creating simple applications using App Inventor that can control mobile robots and other electronic devices. The improvement from pretest to posttest by 14% (from 57% to 71%) indicates a significant increase in understanding after the training. It is expected that this activity will broaden students’ insight into microcontroller and Android application development and foster their interest in robotics technology.
