<![CDATA[The high incidence of infectious diseases among children, particularly diarrhea and acute respiratory infections (ARI), is closely associated with poor hand hygiene practices. A preliminary study conducted in the pediatric ward revealed that most preschool children were not accustomed to practicing the six-step handwashing technique and did not consistently wash their hands after engaging in activities or touching objects and toys. In addition, the ward lacked attractive educational media to support hand hygiene learning for children. This community service program aimed to improve preschool children's knowledge and ability to perform the six-step handwashing technique through the use of a hand card game as an educational medium. The program included health education, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluations conducted before and after the intervention. The results showed that all participants experienced an improvement in their knowledge, reaching either good or fair categories after the educational sessions. The hand card game proved to be an effective learning medium for enhancing children's understanding and practical skills in proper handwashing through an interactive and enjoyable approach. This program is recommended for continuous implementation in pediatric hospital wards as a health education strategy to prevent infectious diseases and promote clean and healthy behaviors from an early age.]]>
