<![CDATA[The growing demand for animal-based products, especially ruminant meat, requires efficient feed management and a sustainable supply of feed resources in terms of quality, quantity, and continuity to meet meat production needs. This study aimed to determine the moisture and dry matter contents of fibrous feed materials, estimate the carrying capacity of available fiber feed resources, and evaluate the profitability of fiber feed marketing at the Ambarawa Livestock Market. A case study approach was used in this research. The study location was selected purposively, and respondents were determined using a census method, involving 12 feed traders. Data were collected through field observations, structured interviews, and laboratory analyses of feed samples. The results showed that the average dry matter (DM) and moisture content (MC) of grasses sold in the market were 50.30% and 49.70%, respectively. The total feed carrying capacity was 841 animal units (AU), equivalent to 1.43% of the total cattle population in Semarang Regency. The revenue-to-cost (R/C) ratio of 4.56 indicated that the fiber feed marketing activity at the Ambarawa Livestock Market was profitable and economically feasible.]]>
