<![CDATA[Family planning programs are important initiatives to improve reproductive health and reduce birth rates through effective contraceptive use. Although the Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a highly effective long-term contraceptive method, its utilization among reproductive-age couples remains low due to limited knowledge, negative perceptions, and insufficient health education. This study aimed to determine the effect of family planning education on the interest of reproductive-age couples in using IUD contraception in Simpang Tiga Village, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. A total of 64 respondents were selected through purposive sampling and received family planning education using audiovisual media. Data were collected using an IUD contraception interest questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed that before education, most respondents had low to moderate interest in IUD use, while after education, interest increased to moderate and high categories. The mean score increased from 1.69 to 2.36, with a significant p-value of 0.001. Audiovisual family planning education effectively increased interest in IUD contraception among reproductive-age couples.]]>
