<![CDATA[Antenatal care services play an important role in maintaining maternal and fetal health during pregnancy. Regular antenatal visits allow healthcare providers to identify risks and complications early, enabling timely interventions. However, pregnancy complications remain a major concern that may increase maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Adherence to antenatal care visits is considered related to the occurrence of pregnancy complications, as irregular visits may delay the detection and management of problems. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between adherence to antenatal care visits and the occurrence of pregnancy complications among pregnant women at RSUD Tamiang Layang. This study used an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted in 2025 involving 539 pregnant women selected through total sampling. Data were obtained from maternal medical records and antenatal service documentation. Analysis was performed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed that 88.0% of pregnant women adhered to antenatal care visits and 84.4% experienced no pregnancy complications. There was a significant relationship between antenatal care adherence and pregnancy complications (p = 0.021). Continuous education and monitoring are needed to improve maternal health services.]]>
