Abstract

Adolescent mental health is a critical aspect of well-being, especially in the context of a rapidly changing society such as Banjarbaru. This condition is often overlooked, even though it has a significant impact on individual development. Gratitude, as a psychological factor, has been found to play an important role in shaping the mental health of adolescents. Therefore, analyzing the relationship between gratitude and mental health of adolescents in Banjarbaru is an urgent need. This research aims to explore and analyze the relationship between the level of gratitude and the mental health of teenagers in Banjarbaru. The specific aim is to explore the impact of gratitude on aspects of adolescents' emotional, psychological and social well-being in a local context rich in values ​​and traditions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study approach and analysis of secondary data from local community health surveys. A comprehensive analysis of the relationship between gratitude and mental health of teenagers in Banjarbaru shows a significant positive correlation. Teenagers who have high levels of gratitude tend to show higher levels of happiness, lower levels of stress, and better abilities in managing emotions. These findings reinforce the urgency of including local values ​​in efforts to improve adolescent mental health
