Article aims to explain zakat from an Islamic economic perspective using qualitative methods through literature studies. Zakat from an Islamic perspective has strategic potential for income distribution in Indonesia. Zakat is a certain part that is mandatory for every Muslim to set aside some of the assets they own to cleanse one's assets from negative qualities.
