Arabic is a language that has the advantage of quite diverse and many meanings. Although the Arabic language cannot be separated from the influence of other languages, the existence of the Qur'an can strengthen the position of the Arabic language itself. The Arabic language contained in the Qur'an has various advantages, including those related to the meaning content of each word in it. The breadth and universality of the content of the meanings of words in the Qur'an, with all its morphological changes, has proven to be able to accommodate the meanings that are understood and used by today's modern Arab society.This paper focuses on several examples of words in the Qur'an with the aim of analyzing aspects of meaning with the theory of lexical meaning, grammatical meaning and referential meaning. The meaning studied includes the development of classical meaning to today's modern meaning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using content analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a struggle between languages in the world, especially Arabic and other languages. There are three groups that argue about choosing between arabizing or adopting foreign words. This research also shows several examples of words in the Qur'an which prove that the meaning of these words has a broad meaning so that they can exist in every era.
